BLOCK OUT THE HATERS? OR MAYBE DON'T

Hello all, or maybe no one, who knows?

Anyway, welcome to my blog, which hopefully will document my journey in a way I haven't previously attempted to do (other than my impromptu vlogging, which is still yet to make an official appearance on the internet).

This post is going to address an issue that has recently been on the minds of many 16-18 year olds across the country: EXAMS (we all hate them) , GRADES (agh predictions) , UNIVERSITY (will I even get in?). And I really won't be able to cover this all in one post, so keep a look out for more study related posts!

To get to the point, I recently did a mock for my AS Chemistry exam, and albeit to the lack of revision which subconsciously must have prepared me for my disappointing grade, my disappointing grade was, well, disappointing. Flash forward to a few weeks on, I am currently doing a past paper which, admittedly, has taken me far too long (I'm blaming this on a fake tan disaster and sun-induced procrastination), but I think I am able to answer a solid 80% of the paper, which is a massive improvement from a few weeks ago, even if each word manages to suck another inch of enjoyment from my already frazzled brain. So, with a bit of outdoor revision, consisting of completing my notes, flashcard making and practice questions (basic stuff, really) , I have managed to make myself feel a bit better, and a bit more prepared- even though this may change when I answer the past paper!

To be concise, which I really need to improve on, don't be demotivated by bad results and appalling mocks (E is for excellent, I swear!), use them to power your revision and reach those targets (set these targets for yourself!). Even if people don't believe in you, or tell you that you can never be 'the best', use them to fuel your work ethic, and show them up!

Here's a cheeky motivational quote I found on the internet, and I've also included a little 'about the author', since I always find I have no idea who writes these quotes!

THERE WILL BE HATERS, DOUBTERS, NON-BELIEVERS AND THEN THERE WILL BE YOU, PROVING THEM WRONG
Jennifer Van Allen ( Writes running books, I assume motivational)
